System, Process, Journey and Stakeholders Mapping
Mapping the Emergency Assistance Relief Program (EARP) Process
In early 2021, EARP served more than 5000 families in the Montgomery County. As a Program Manager, I mapped the process after speaking to five case managers and project managers. The map was utilized for program management purposes and planning the upcoming phase of the program.

Mapping for Staffing and Planning
After joining the Montgomery County team, I encouraged our team to use visual mapping in our planning meetings. The below map is the result of facilitating a conversation between three Program Managers at the County during the planning session for the upcoming Covid-19 Relief program which involved various layers and multi stakeholders.
The program served 5000 families in the Montgomery county and involved 20 internal staff to operate.

Mapping the Process of Building Capacity in an Organization
When working at the Innovation Lab at the Office of Personnel Manangement, I worked with various agencies to improve processes as a coach and a Designer. Below is an organization scale map for building innovation capacity which I developed using the most sited capacity building models for some of our partners.
The map and the knowledge behind it was used as a foundation for future maps and innovation conversations.

A Process that Better Connects Parents with School Staff and Students
Research shows that parental aspiration/expectation for children’s education achievement has the strongest relationship with students’ academic achievement [1]. Therefore, maximizing a positive communication between school and families is important.
During the one year that I was working for Mother Caroline Academy in Boston, I worked on ways to improve communication between school staff and students’ families. Some parents were extremely busy and they didn’t get to visit the school frequently. On the other hand, many parents spent a lot of time in commuting to work.
Through research and design process, I came to the conclusion that a multi tasking medium such as podcast can improve the communication. Together with my students, we recorded the first episode of podcast as the minimum viable product. Making the podcast brought so much joy to the student as well. The below images communicate the process.
